Jason Turk is a multi-award-winning Irish composer and performer from West Waterford. Known for pushing the boundaries of traditional music, his solo works blend acoustic instruments with cutting-edge electronics and visuals.
Through his innovative use of the ROLI Seaboard, Jason has helped redefine how traditional Irish music can sound—and even how it's taught. His performances and interviews were recently featured in global campaigns by ROLI, and his work is now included in the Irish school music syllabus.
In 2025, he was awarded the Arts Council Traditional Arts Bursary to further explore live electronic composition, collaborative works, and performances using new musical interfaces.
Jason regularly tours the US and Europe, both solo and with groups like The Kilkennys, NoName Trio, Grace & Jason, and Torcán. His Seaboard Sundays video series captures this work in a bold new format.
